Warranties
BRISTER'S DESIGN & MFG.®
Within 1 year of the purchase date, if any defect in workmanship or
materials appears in the utility vehicle, BDM will
replace or repair, at it's sole option, any defective part. This
limited warranty does not apply if any damage or abuse to the utility
vehicle or
the part in question is evident. The existence of damage or abuse is
determined solely by the dealer, service center, or manufacturer.
TWISTER®
Twister (TJ Powersports) warrants their go-kart against defects in
material and/or workmanship, for a period of 3 months labor and 3
months parts, excluding wear
items. Exceptions are listed on the
go-karts page.
ENGINES
Tecumseh:
3 hp vertical - 1 year
3 hp horizontal - 90 days
5 hp OHV - 2 years
6 hp OHV - 2 years
6.5 hp OHV - 2 years
9 hp OHV - 2 years
11 hp OHV - 1 year
8 hp "L head" - 1 year
10 hp "L head" - 1 year
Briggs & Stratton:
1 year
Note: Warranty is for engines (use 136000 only) placed on go-karts;
however,
Briggs does not currently sell their engines to go-kart manufacturers.
Honda:
2 years
(Note: We service Honda engines only on the karts / utility vehicles we
sell. Warranty is for engines placed on go-karts; however,
we have been told that
Honda does not currently sell their engines to go-kart manufacturers.
It is available on the Chuck Wagon by BDM.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Warranties listed are "limited warranties," i.e., they do not cover
beating the go-kart or engine with a sledge hammer, driving over it
with your car, or running a go-kart into a lake! This is
intended as a guide; check your manual for the utmost in
accuracy.
